Just want to add to the previous question. I have an '82 240D and am curious what sets the shift timing when there is no bowden cable? Does the vacuum modulator affect shift timing as well as quality on these transmissions? Curious because my transmission shifts into 4th above 50 mph and seems to high, even when the kickdown switch is disconnected. Thanks!!
