It's been a fascinating show with Hubble, but it's been up there way beyond it's original design specification. I won't get upset unless its replacement gets shelved. I, for one, am grateful to have seen some of the images that it has captured.

IIRC, it's replacement is something like ten years away and is to be part of the space station.
I think the cost to maintain Hubble is well worth the interim benefits before the "next best telescope" arrives.
