86-89 124's had grey trim over the bumper cover.
As of 1990, there is a polished stainless strip of trim on top of the bumper
(same time the polished inserts were added to door handles,
and the body side claddings changed)
Not sure if the bumper cover interchanges between the 2(I'm at home), but I'd be surprised if it did.
