My understanding is this can be a common problem on these cars.
The needles of the tachometer & speedometer are physically sticking to the " stops ".
This is reportedly caused by dirt/dust/scum build-up over the last 10 years.
The cure is to remove the instrument cluster & clean the " stops ".
