Hello,
The ABS pump only activates if you are in panic braking. It will not be running when your engine is. The Purge Valve is usually located in front of or below the ABS pump. There is a large black plastic line that will run right into the manifold from that valve. The valve is on a rubber mount and will have an electrical connection. There is another hose running out of the other side of it that goes to the charcoal cannister. Check out our website, go to tech stuff, then click on engine technical, then click on "location of engine controls", you will see as you scroll down that there is the location and description of the purge valve.
