I may have a problem with my 300D. It is likely insignificant, but nevertheless I like my cars to be as close to perfect as possible.
My car experiences a loss of power while accelerating somewhere between 90 and 100 mph. I have not had the safe opportunity to do enough high speed driving to determine if it always happens at the same speed, but it seems like the speed at which this occurs varies.
Is it possible that I have a speed/rpm limiter that is acting up? Or could there be some other problem? I have not had this problem at any speed under 80 mph. If my memory serves me right, it may have happened once at 83 mph. Tonight it happened around 98 mph.
Any ideas? Or do I just need to drive slower?
