I think you have to remove the radio first. I can kind of remember that the radio presses some clips that hold the control unit in. Remove the radio with the removal tools, it slides out, then reach in the hole aand work it out. The connectors are on top of the control unit and have sliders that when you push them back the connectors come out. Good luck
