I adjusted the ALDA for the first time this weekend. I cannot believe the difference. The car runs like new. It has plenty of get up and go, runs quieter and the transmission stopped flaring. I had to remove the black plastic cap and thin metal housing around the lock nut in order to loosen it. The metal was just slightly thicker than aluminum foil. I re-covered it with a rubber plug, although I don't see why it is necessary to keep the thing covered.

On a less positive note, the wife is giving me more pressure to end this project and I may have to sell the benz and get something more conventional. It would be a shame, but... ... I can always buy another one in a few years
