My samsung and computer occasionally decide not to talk. I have found the following to help....

- reboot the computer to re-establish the USB link to hotsync line. My wife has a palm with the serial link. If she syncs it confuses the hotsync application even though both cradles are plugged in all the time. It seems the first user wins until reboot.

- my phone comm link will sometimes not talk. I remove the battery for 5 seconds and that resets it.

Both signs of poorly written / implemented networking approaches.
