I have an 85 380se and don't know if yours is the same but mine is in the box with the fuses, under the hood, drivers side. It has 7 pins and the top has >PA6-GF30< molded in and on the side is stamped 3.301.410. I just jumpered around mine from a fuse that is on when the key is in on and start.
