Hello Group,
Please tell me what is a recommended motor oil for this engine (other than Mobile1, if that is the only oil recommended by MB)?

As mentioned in a much earlier post, this engine is in 2002 ML 400CDI which is not driven much due to the fact that it is stored most of the time on another continent, so to speak.

Also, and since this is my first diesel ever, can someone tell me if it is inherent in all diesel engine, especially with such a new one like this, to produce a very thick, very black oil?! I am talking the consistency of molasses and the darkness of coal!!
