Brian, you should be able to remove the intake on a 603 engine and put it back within an hour if you have the right tools. Basically all you need is a 6 mm hex-bit socket, an extension and a universal joint. You'll also need a 10 mm socket to remove some of the stuff that's attached to the manifold. The crossover pipe is easily removed with a 5 mm hex key.
