Thanks for the information on your problem. The best advice is to replace the rubber connector tubes between the manifold halves. There are additional rubber pieces that need to be resealed.
The site, http://www.pindelski.com/ , which is a subscription site at $30/yr, is a great resource and also has a section on R&R of the V-8 intake manifold.
