sanding and lye... hmm? what do you think of boiling it with straw?
i'll seek an antique dealer and inquire too... i was thinking of having it sand blasted.... i'll let you know what else i find out and how i proceed...
btw. this thing is pretty rusty, has no emotional value but is just the right size i could use...
