be smart about it.

i know my alarm brain is behind the glove box liner. dont know if that helps. a bit of advice for you. unless money is a major issue for you dont do it your self!!!!! i have been down this road before w/ an alarm aetup that was easier then yours( and i have a 92 190 2.6) and i could have made 5 times the amount of money that i ended up paying for the install and i would have lower blood pressure to this day. if you posted it before you;re probally not making much progress. ABANDON your quest to fix it, ALONG w/ your factory system. a new alarm installed w/ better features then the existing unit including remote start should run u about $300. it can be done in about 4 to5 hrs. knock 100$ off for no remote start, but its worht it if you live any where but flordia. if you really want to learn how to do alarm work go to a smaller but reputable shop, pick up the vibes and ask either the shop owner or the installer directly if you can watch the install, explain why, offer to sign a wavier for insurance, and it NEVER HURTS to offer them 50 bucks or something for all of the annoying questions that you will ask them while they are working on your car. thats what i did and it was priceless. if all else fails and the owner doesnt like it get/ give your / his phone # descretely and go w/ the 50 $ offer while hes off the clock. hes making 20 an hr why wouldnt he take the 50 to explain stuff to you for an hour tops after work. hope that helps
