Just Shipped a 67 Mustang to Louisianna (in November) and the buyer paid $1,600+ for enclosed transport (DAS). Door to door. But...they collected the car on an open trailer and delivered from their terminal to him on an open trailer, in the rain! His experience shows me that paying extra for enclosed shipping may not be a good value unless it's a very expensve car and you can nail down how it will be carried every foot of the way.
