Right click on the link and select open in new tab.
The tabs are one of the better features IMO

To install: "Tabbrowser Preferences 1.1.1"... to gain control over "new links" in tabs. Once installed: Go to the Tools menu and select Options - select Tabbed Browsing on the left side of the screen and set as you wish.
