I did it on my 300E. It was not too difficult.

I removed the idle control valve, it gave me a lot more space to work with.
I then removed one hose at a time.
I was sure to add a little lubricant to the hose endings.
The lubricant enables the hoses to slide on a WHOLE LOT EASIER.
You will need to move your hands in wierd ways to get the hoses on.
Be patient, and don't let that silly hose frustrate you.
