Are you talking about a tap to chase the threads? Or are you talking about a special MB tool for cleaning out the prechambers? I haven't used either of those things in my last replacement, but if its important, I'll use them on my next replacement.

In terms of replacement tools.. I used a stubby 3/8" ratchet with a pivot head and the 8mm and 12mm 3/8" sockets. No extensions or wobble joints. Just small hands, and a stubby ratchet. (Story of my life... )

I'm not intersted in the story of your life with the stubby rachet. That sounds like a personal problem that no Mercedes tool will fix. Have you tried that stuff they advertise, Enzyte, I believe? Or how about a strap on?
