ok - #1, carbon monoxide doesn't have any smell (which is part of the reason why it is so dangerous). So what you are smelling is something else. I have no clue what it is, but maybe others can help.

As for the door moldings, the dealer sells these for ~$.10 a piece. They can look up part numbers and they should have them in stock.
