85 300Dt (CA) Questions
In my eagerness to make sure that the plastic vacuum nipple coming off the booster vacuum hose was clear of debris, I snapped it off. So now, I cannot attach the vac lines that lead to the vac transducer (and then to the tranny) to the brake booster line. So ...
1) Can I just replace the little plastic piece in the vac booster line or do I need to replace the whole line (I believe the line for my car is N4020-44957 at Fastlane)????
2) Now this one's for Vac experts. I am getting weak vacuum to my transducer (in the 85 there is a vac transducer that further controls Vac pressure to transmission). When I plug a vac gauge into the Vac entry line to transducer, the vac rises very slowly and sometimes wont exceed 12". The Vac pressure to transducer also seems to plummet to 10" when I rev the throttle while parked. Could this cause the late shifting I am getting?
Thanks.
