panther1, MB recommends transmission fluid for lubricating the throttle linkage. This is one of the items that rarely gets done even at a dealer as part of the 'A' and 'B' Services. My independent tech told me that he has seen numerous dealer-serviced cars that have never had the throttle linkage lubricated.
