As far as spelling is concerned...just look at the postings on this forum (and others)...spelling and grammatical errors everywhere! And we learned the correct approach in grammar school for Pete's sake!
I see the same on e-mails and circulated documents...and this from a seemingly educated lot!
If we can't get it right, why should we expect other non-native cultures to do so?

My point was thanks to afirmative action quotas the best and brightest aren't the ones getting the slots in the colleges and Universities these days.......
But you are correct....the liberal teachers are doing a pathetic job at educating students these days...and yes many are unprepaired.
