Supposed to be possible. MB says not easy to do. How about a rear entertainment system? You really want to watch dvd's while driving? Driving just not interesting enough, too boring?
The nav can be changed to the dvd based system (from the original cdrom version) fairly easily, but it's tricky to get it to play a movie I guess. Put in an entertainment system.
