I dated a girl for a while last year that had the Sharper Image purifier. I don't think it did a thing. It's also not noisless, as advertized. Whenever a piece of dust woulg go through it, you'd hear this zapping sound like one of those electric bug killers used in the summer.

This is the unit I bought about two years ago. Very effective, small in size, and not too noisy. I bought it from one of our forum members here. Pretty happy with it!
