Benzmac: The MB engines I'm used to seeing also don't come with alternators or starters. Most V-8's don't come with a water pump either. Diesels always have the injection pump, and most engines won't have a intake or exhaust manifold either, but will come with gaskets to install everything. We use either MB (they do have remans available for lots of there engines) or Metric engine rebuilders are very good also....Gilly
