wood console needs to be removed, bizarrely enough the hazard switch come off with the wood console.

tips, do you know how to remove the radio? because that needs to come out, then you will see the four screws that get removed and then you can snap out the wood console.

When I do this I have already pulled out the center console, ash-tray, and cubby hole. so if you attempt this without removing those items be careful I didn't forget to mention a step.

To keep from scratching the wood, I use painters tape, and apply the tape along all edges of plastic dash and wood that could be effected, I also lay towels over console wood trim. The screwdrivers I use are stubby - short handled to prevent slippage.

In reasembly it is important to put everything back together with the right tighness and layout so you don't get annoying vibrations. Take notice of the screw tighness when you UN-TIGHTEN them, so when you put it back together it is kosher.
