Evaporator replacement requires complete removal of dash and climate control box. Big job, 16 hrs by the book, considerably longer the first time you do it. Blower can be accessed from under the hood, but you must remove the wiper motor and transmission (good time to clean and lubricate the wiper mechanism).

Expansion valve is beside the brake booster toward the centerline of the car.
