Well, my daughter just had her first problem with her new (to her) SLK. She had been driving with the top down and attempted to raise it. The front of the trunk rose up, as it should,. and then nothing but a flashing light on the top up/down button. No strange sounds or smells. The car has 46K miles and is pristine. The former owner is my friend, who never had this problem since he bought it new.

Any ideas??
