As to the original question- I use Seafoam as a sub for Diesel Purge, has the same effect. And I have to agree with Brian that regular use of PS seems to keep the smoke and shake gremlins at bay. Also seems to slightly increase my mileage, could be the cetane boost I dont know. For a couple bucks a tank, over the $50 I'm spending on fuel seems like a no brainer to insure keeping the injectors clean?

ps I only do the purge twice a year when I do my filters- spring and fall when the fuel changes seasons, Good Luck, James
