hello

i have a 95 C36 AMG and a my brother has 95 C280,
I just bought a actron code reader. on the C36 i pulled two codes P0400 and P1700,, looks like the EGR malfuction and a upshift problem, anyone have some imput on fixing it ?

But with the C280 when i try to pull codes it ALWAYS tells me fail on the the reader? what does this mean ?

Both cars drive fine without any problems??
