Thanks guys for the tips. I have tried both of the keys when this occurs and neither of them will work. That was my first thought that perhaps one of the keys was intermittent but that doesnt seem to be the case.
I suppose the starter is the next logical part altho I hate to keep throwing money at this without knowing if it really fixes it or not.
I have tried locking/unlocking the car with the remote, the drivers door with the key and also from the trunk when this occurs but nothing fixes it??
I am going to keep a small voltmeter in the car and the next time this occurs I will be able to tell whether or not power is actually being applied to the starter.
Hopefully it will totally DIE and then we can get it fixed.
