...Bosch "co-engineers" lots of stuff--some for VW, some for MB. AFAIK, MB has never used a distributor-type VE injection pump, and VW has never used an inline pump. MB currently uses a common rail injection system, and I think VW has switched over to Pump Duse--two different injection methods.
