climate control dead
Summer is coming up and I need to get the a/c working on my '83 300D-T. The problem is, the climate control is totally unresponsive, even in Defrost mode. After searching the archives, I've come up; with the following steps:
1. fuse panel: no visible broken fuses, so I should wiggle or replace all fuses
2. the large fuse "cartridge" (aluminum casing) a little to the front of the fuse panel: I believe it is okay, since I tried switching it with the identical one (aux fan?) right next to it, and no change in symptoms.
3. blower relay: need to find and check it
4. check power to blower, even try direct connect to battery
5. a fuse on the acc unit itself--I believe it is okay, since the tach works okay (and I've read that the tach line goes through this)
My main goal is to get the basic cc working, so that I can bribe my a/c certified friend to come over and diagnose the a/c and charging level, if necessary. Any corrections to the above, or additional things to check?
