The trans valve body only does what the computer tells it to do!
Either the computer isn't giving correct fill times to the trans valve body OR the valve body has issues.
Complete tear down isn't required unless adaptation of the clutches is above maximun. Use scanner to view shift adaptation tables, live data in the trans computer.
Valve body & a replacement trans computer are the most common repair for that problem, IF the clutch adaptation(s) are in order!
