In Columbia, SC (state gas tax in SC is 16 cents/gallon) diesel is now in high 1.20's and regular gas around 1.50.

Here diesel is cheaper in spring/summer and more expensive in fall/winter. Perhaps due to refinery operation and a closer relationship between diesel and home heating oil. Also summer vacation season pushes gas consumption...and we all know about the old supply and demand curves. Don't know but like the current setup.
