Thanks for the information. There was a PH2050 and a PH50E on ebay, but I decided not to bid to much for one of them and I was not the high bidder. I kind of like Snap on tools, because most of the air tools except the Blue point are made in the USA, so I see if I can get a heavy duty PH3050 at a decent price. I remeber looking at an Ingersoll Rand that was a heavy duty air hammer and I think it required about 15 or 20 CFM. It was made in the USA and was quite expensive like the Snap on.
I would assume that a heavy duty air hammer, regardless of brand, is kind of like a die grinder as far as air usage. When I use my die grinder there is no way my compressor can keep up. It’s an Ingersoll-Rand, with a 60 gallon tank, but it’s only a single stage. So with a powerful air hammer it sounds like I may have to wait sometimes for the volume and the pressure in the tank to recover. Would that be right? That would be ok since I don't work on cars for a living but only as a hobby.
