I agree I am making a set from alluminum sheet when I do my motor mounts for the second time in 2 years on my W116..........I am convinced its fuel that kills these things as my drivers mount is collapsing and thats the side that had the fuel dripping on it...........and the fact there was no heat shields on them when I got the car.
