Not a fun Problem!

Did you mess with the locking mechanism any? If you just replaced the seals then you would not have created a problem, but if any of the trim or locking mechanisms were removed and not installed properly the bar that connects the button (between the tag and the tailight) could have come disconnected from the lock, or the vacuum line that unlocks it could have come disconnected. You can remove the license plate light cover and assembley on the passenger side and reach the bar, pull it towards the fender, or push, I can't remember, either way it should open the trunk and allow you to remove the trim inside to fix your problem with either an inoperative lock or dislocated push bar. Good luck!
