I just bought an '80 240d - beautiful car.

A couple of issues, the cruise control doesn't work and the one back window doesn't go up all the way (power window). Any tips on diagnosing the cruise? Where should I start?

Also, the steering is a bit loose. Does it have a traditional steering box where the play can be adjusted?
