100,000 miles, at 140mph for 30 straight days is a VERY trying test. I am quite sure alot of vehicles on the road today (straight out of the showroom) could not do it.

But, it does not test anything but the endurance of the engine and transmission. It doesn't even heat-cycle the engine thousands of times like in normal driving.

I think a better test would be to have an intercompany car or an outside person who drives 100-150,000 miles a year give their test results back to MB.
