I used to have an 80s model Volkwagen Rabbit UTE diesel that routinely broke the delivery line that was closest to the timing belt. It would crack right at the bend going into the injector. The second time it broke, I continued to make my calls that day, parking in the street rather than in my customer's driveways. I probably put 120-150 miles on that POS all running on 3.5 cylinders...I honestly wanted it to burn but it wouldn't.
