If there is enough 'juice' slow cranking would mean a bad starter. Otherwise, a low battery will cause slow cranking.

Air in the line, or bad gas, could make in hard to start, as in no fire, but it could not slow the cranking speed.

So, is the problem slow, laborious cranking, or a long perioud of cranking over and over without lighting the fire?
