Shortly after I bought our 1995 E420 in 2000 I complained to the dealer about the same problem. I had a W124 before and knew how much air the blower should produce. They kept insisting everything was fine and I finally asked to talk to the Mercedes zone rep. He sat in the car with me for 5 seconds and agreed that the air flow was way too weak. He scheduled another service appointment and this time they found that the blower fan had been replaced but it was somehow installed backwards! It is my understanding that this is easy to do because I have seen warnings about it. Is it possible that is your problem? Your 1995 Mercedes should produce plenty of air flow if things are working properly.
