I was asking because I am considering to purchase this car and the seller said that he had the transmission serviced about a year ago and the shop said that the transmission would soon need "attention" because of this. Perhaps they were wanting to take him for a ride? He said it has not gotten any worse.

Another mention was he said it had been running a little warmer than normal on the temperature guage, but not overheating. Installed a new waterpump, but with no change. Perhaps the cooling fans are in need of repair, or headgasket may be failing?

I guess I need to ask more questions about this.
