On some cars, there was a cooling jacket for fuel which was part of the low pressure line returning to the compressor. BMW also had a similar arrangement. You can safely disconnect these lines from the fuel distributor and injectors after you have depressurized the fuel system. They do not disconnect from the cooling jacket end. They do not directly connect to the A/C system..
