Like many of you, I find the seats in my 1985 300DT somewhat, or even a lot, uncomfortable.

The seat back is good, but the seat bottom is:

too hard (it's "bouncy" but not soft...firm is very good if it's done right)
too flat
too short

It looks like the seat bottom can be tilted back by undoing the floor bolts at the front of the seat, putting some washers in there, and buying longer bolts to resecure the seat.

So...

How much tilt are you guys using? Are you using washers to prop up the seat?
