Is there any way to see the site where the 124 evaps leak at without full removal? How do you diagnose a leaking evap, other than it's not leaking anywhere else? I have a working sniffer, can't find any other detectable leaks.

Besides the vacuum pods, anything else in there that should be preemptively replaced while I have the dash off?
unless you have a dust filter you might find lots of crud on the fins of the heat exchanger and evaporator. a good vacuuming of these will improve airflow and HVAC efficiency.
