ANY towing oufit can be dangerous, just ask the owner of a nice late model S body that had AAA tow their car to an INDY. The tow truck cracked the oil pan when they lifted it
Fortunately the shop owner saw oil dripping from that area and with the car owner they affronted the AAA driver and pointed this out to make a claim, it was being towed in for something else.

Then there is the AAA driver that gave a jump start to a Mercedes that had a dead battery, with the leads reversed, every electrical module in the car was damaged including the clock. The car was dead in the water (it was a gasser). AAA had to pay up but finally balked over the price of the clock, the total bill was way over a thousand dollars and they were *****in over a $100 clock. AAA argued that clocks don't last very long, it was a 15 - 20 year old car, then out came reports (including mine) of 20+ YO Mercedes clocks that still kept good time. AAA has way too many lawyers they have to keep busy you know
