As a matter of interest...would you keep a dangerous animal such as a mountain lion on your property, like you do your dog(s) and say the same thing?

Reason I ask is, that you have to admit....dog/animal attacks are on the rise and in general they are upon the least able to defend themselves.....
Many people percieve the Pit Bull to be one of the worst offenders in as much as they are capable of the most damage....after all, being mauled by a dashound is unlikely and improbable.

Nobody keeps mountain lions loose at home lying around on the drive way !

Some European countries have banned Pit Bull as pets completely.
I remember the story on the TV about the two dogs that savaged and killed the woman in California at her front door.

This kind of thing should not be allowed to happen in a residential community.

I know what you are going to say in defence of your animals, but saying any/my animal would not hurt anyone is being overly protective.

If my Pit Bull half breed attacked anybody whilst he was off the leash, a 9mm hole would appear in his skull a few seconds later.

Your devotion to your dogs is commendable, but this knee jerk reaction to implied threat is a little scary.

Mybe we should start another 'thread' in the open discussion forum to see what others think of blanket laws like the above.

What do you think DP ?
